Review of Mendoza’s small-group luxury wine tour, with premium tastings, gourmet lunch, mountain views, guides, transport, and value advice.

“This experience, provided by Tout and Wine, was spectacular. We visited three wineries where tastings and tours were provided. At our last winery, we were treated to a wonderful gourmet lunch that impressed all. Our guide Monserrat and driver were very kind and accommodating. We also appreciated the ability to purchase wine from the different wineries, create a custom box, and ship back to our address in the states. Would recommend to all.”

“The tour in general was ok, unfortunately in our first stop the guide didn't count the people on the bus and they left us. The manager of the winery has to call the company to tell the driver that they forgot 2 passengers, and after almost 1/2 hour of waiting for them they came to pick us up.”

“Our tour guide, Lourdes, was fantastic! She had a great sense of humor and was quite knowledgeable. I really feel like I learned quite a few things today! The transportation coach had nice AC which was a big plus. It was a long day, but it didn't really feel like it. My only comment for improvement would be to inform the guests when you're running late. Overall, I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the wine country.”

“The tour guide Ximena and the driver Mario were both fantastic. The drive is beautiful and we found a lovely place to try local food and wines in Cafayate on our own. I wish there was a tour that made more stops and spent more time in the scenic places. This itinerary seems pretty typical but I think instead of trying to do a little bit of everything (scenic stops, wine tour, shopping) having more focused tours would be better, even though it’s still obviously a limited time and there’s only so much that’s possible on such a far day trip. I understand why people say to rent a car…”

We were introduced not only to the most beautiful places, but also to culture and folklore. And all this with humor and ease. The guide spoke excellent Spanish (her native language, of course), but also English, there were no problems in understanding. Thanks a lot! I highly recommend this excursion!”

“This is a basic wine tasting that will give neophytes a nice intro if you know little about wines. The host was very pleasant and knowledgeable and because there were only two of us for the tasting, it was like having a private tasting. The wines are very basic table wines so the host was more interesting than the wines.”

“I loved this tour; it was great. Learned a lot about Argentine wine, especially since I didn’t have time to go to Mendoza. (I’m sorry, I forgot her name. She’s an employee of the winery.) I was the only one who would need English interpretation, but I understand a lot of Spanish just don’t speak it well. So we agreed that she’d interpret for me if I asked whenever I didn’t understand, which she did. They accommodated my vegetarian diet and made sure I had a great time which I did. Transport was convenient and good.”
